Board President
Lorry-Ann Austin
Lorry-Ann is an Associate Teaching Professor and Chair of TRU’s School of Social Work and Human Services. She is registered with the BC College of Social Workers and is an active member of the BC Association of Social Workers. She is an experienced social worker and educator with a demonstrated history of working with children and youth in the health sector. She is a strong community and social services professional who also has a background in media and communications.

Carley Stewart
Carley has a background in political science and board governance. She has a long history of volunteerism with various organizations throughout BC and has previously volunteered with A Way Home Kamloops in different capacities. Carley is also acting as interim Board Treasurer.

Board Secretary
Andrea VanIterson
Andrea was raised in the Kamloops area, she loves her community and feels that giving back is the best way to show your appreciation for the people within it! Volunteer work with local schools, 4-H Clubs and youth organizations are important to Andrea. She works full-time with her family on their cattle feedlot in Westwold, and part-time as the Executive Director with the BC Association of Cattle Feeders. Her interest and understanding of Board governance continuously grows with participation on both National and Provincial Boards.

Jason Fawcett
Jason is the President of Kelson Group, a successful, family-owned property management business, including corporate and individual building operations in communities throughout B.C. and Alberta. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce from UBC and worked in the commercial real estate industry for several years prior to joining the family business.

Treasurer
Naina Sachdeva
Naina is a CPA and finance professional with experience in public accounting and corporate finance. Currently, she works at Invictus Properties and was formerly with KPMG, where she focused on financial reporting, strategic decision-making, and process improvement. Her journey began after moving to Canada, completing a post-baccalaureate in accounting, and working her way up from my first job in the service industry to senior finance roles. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring lifestyle, wellness, and creative pursuits, always striving for balance and continuous growth.

Louise Richards
Louise has recently retired from her 15-year position as Executive Director of the Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society. Louise’s background is in law and she helped develop the Poverty Law Advocacy Program at E.Fry, while also acting as the Regional Advocate for the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies. Louise has been a long-standing volunteer with the Law Foundation of BC, a key support member in the Kamloops Homelessness Action Plan, and developed the first women’s supportive transitional housing in Kamloops. Louise has been a key supervisor throughout the development of AWHK.

Grayden Flannigan
Grayden brings a business perspective to the board and previously owned nine Subway stores in Kamloops. Grayden gives his time generously to the community and is currently a Board Director at the Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society, the Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association, the ICCHA Wish Foundation, and the Kamloops Daybreak Rotary Club.

Joe Doyle
Joe is a Kamloops Realtor with Brendan Shaw Real Estate ltd and owner of Not Your Average Joe’s Car Wash. Joe studied at UBC Sauder School of Business and prides himself on his hussle. He’s a huge car guy and loves the North Shore where his new offices is located just blocks from Katherine’s Place. Joe’s past lived experience in Foster Care makes him and expert in many ways and he looks forward to bringing a broad range of skills to the Board of A Way Home Kamloops.

Robert D'Amours
Robert has a decade of experience as a Project Engineer with Urban Systems where his work focuses on all stages of infrastructure development for communities throughout BC. Robert enjoys the Kamloops lifestyle with his young family, and is grateful to have taken part in every Campout To End Youth Homelessness with his Urban Systems team.

Oliver Verenca
Oliver is an Associate at Fulton & Company LLP. Prior to joining Fulton, he practiced at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP and was a Judicial Law Clerk at the BC Court of Appeal. Oliver’s family is from Kamloops, he knows the community well, and has a past life as a Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work from UBC. Oliver loves dogs and has recently embarked on starting a new family with his wife.
